Welcome to U3A Gawler. We are a community organisation, active in Gawler since 1988, for the retired or semi retired over fifties. Our volunteer leaders provide a range of approximately 30 activities each year for a minimal cost. You can come and try any activity, that is not marked FULL, before joining. Our activities promote fun, learning and friendship as per our motto. Please peruse our activities and simply join via the website (New Members under the Membership Menu).

Term 3 Introduction to Astronomy
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new class to be conducted fortnightly on Fridays from 1.30 -2.30pm (alternate Fridays to Sjoelen) commencing at the beginning of Term 3 2026.
If you are interested in attending please respond to the Secretary asap so it can be scheduled and Colin Hill can be engaged to conduct the class. There is also a possibility of a couple of some night sky viewing sessions also.
Colin is the retired Astronomy Education Officer with the Astronomical Society of South Australia. The sessions he will present are similar to the sessions he presents to the Astronomical Society each month for Astronomy Education

The U3A movement is a volunteer organisation providing educational, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment. Our courses are for people over 50 who are no longer in full-time employment.
